Farm - A Family Steeped in American Breeding Tradition Honoring Emily In 1999,
the Rawles lost their oldest daughter, Emily, suddenly. Emily, a USDF
Gold medalist, was well beyond what one would call an accomplished
rider and had a true passion for the horse business, according to
sister Ellie. “She loved kids, she loved teaching them. She
was truly in the business and was much more of a show rider than I
am. I enjoy the nuts and bolts. Emily had more show polish.”
The Rawle family honors Emily's member every year at Dressage at Devon
with a the Watermark Perpetual Trophy in her honor, awarded to the
highest placed FEI Rider who was a Pony Club graduate. |
