Press Link to Work With Twentieth Century Fox to Promote Upcoming Film “FLICKA”

Press Link PR, headed by President Diana De Rosa, is working with Twentieth Century Fox to handle the PR outreach to the Equine Community and Media for “Flicka,” which is scheduled to be released on October 20, 2006.

A young girl, Katy (played by Alison Lohman), adopts a wild mustang she names Flicka, only to see her father (played by Tim McGraw) sell her now beloved companion. To win back Flicka’s freedom, Katy secretly schemes to enter a dangerous wild horse race. Flicka is directed by Michael Mayer, produced by Gil Netter with the screenplay by Lawrence M. Konner and Mark D. Rosenthal and is based on the novel “My Friend Flicka” by Mary O’Hara. Other cast members include Maria Bello (Nell-Katy’s mother) and Ryan Kwanten (Howard-Katy’s brother).

“It is great to see that Twentieth Century Fox has produced a film that was for many years a Classic. This is a perfect movie for every member of the family to enjoy. I know this film will touch many hearts. We need more movies like ‘Flicka,’ “ said De Rosa.

De Rosa has been involved in the horse world for over 25 years and also is a journalist. She has covered the past five Olympic Games. One of her Athens Olympic photos was named Photo of the Year by the United States Equestrian Federation.
