Reining World Nation's Cup Featured
This Week on "GMC America's Horse"
AMARILLO,
Texas "GMC America's Horse," the American Quarter Horse Association's
weekly television show on ESPN will feature the 2001 Reining World Nation's
Cup from Reggio Emilia, Italy on its July 25 broadcast.
Eleven
countries competed in the event in May, which was the first Federation
Equestre Internationale (FEI)-sanctioned reining competition. FEI, which
is the international governing body of equestrian sports approved reining
as an international competition in 2000. The American Quarter horse
is recognized asthe foundation breed for reining activities. The National
Reining Horse Association (NRHA) is acknowledged as the authority for
reining competitions.

very excited to feature this international event on "GMC America's Horse,"
said Bill Brewer, AQHA Executive Vice President. "Reining has gained
tremendous popularity in the past three years and we are pleased to
bring reining activities to millions of viewers."
"GMC America's
Horse" covers a variety of equestrian activities including cutting and
reining events, American Quarter Horse racing, AQHA-approved shows and
other activities involving American Quarter Horses. "GMC America's Horse"
reaches nearly 20 million viewers in nine million households and is
broadcast each Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.
