Day Four Begins at the NRHA Futurity!

With the Non Pro First Round completed and the Open First Round set to conclude about 10:30 this morning, the 2001 NRHA Futurity is taking shape! 2001 NRHA Derby Non Pro Champion Josh Hattig won the Non Pro First Round on Fridays Gold Eclipse with a score of 218.5. As if that weren't enough, the Berthoud, Colorado reiner also finished second in the round on his other horse, Chics Dry Eclipse.

Finishing third and fourth in the round was former Futurity Non Pro Champion Mandy McCutcheon of Pilot Point, Texas. Kim Lansidel won the Intermediate Non Pro First Round with a 214.5 on Da Chics Tune, owned by Karl & Marjorie Eilers of Renton, WA. In the Limited Non Pro division, Justin Zimmerman rode Little Super Smoker to a score of 214 to win the round.

As the futurity continues today, the second round of open competition will begin at 11 am.
