NRBC Media Award Goes To Reiner Magazine
Byars, Oklahoma November 13, 2003 - The National Reining Breeders Classic has announced that Reiner Magazine is the recipient of the 2004 NRBC Media Award. Since its inception in 2000, the National Reining Breeders Classic Media Award has gone to media outlets that exhibit excellence in covering the reining industry's highest added money event and the award has become one of the most prestigious honors of its type in the western equine industry. For the first time, the designation goes to the official publication of the National Reining Horse Association. "The magazine has always covered this event, but in 2003, it took a new perspective," stated NRBC Media Coordinator, Cheryl Magoteaux. "Seeing the 2003 NRBC Champions Dell Hendricks and Reminic N Dunit on the cover of the Reiner was great, as well, and it really illustrated the prominence of the event and its importance to the reining world. Pat Feuerstein did a great job of capturing the unique spirit of the event in the article." Magoteaux complimented Senior Director of Publications Carol Trimmer and Features Editor Pat Feuerstein. "They've done a great job with the new editorial direction of this publication. Pat's long history with the industry and the association give the coverage a feel of appreciation for the tradition and people who have and are making history." The Reiner will receive the signature Aysha Hoffman framed print that has become the hallmark of the award and it will be presented during the National Reining Breeders Classic, April 20-25 in Katy, Texas. Past NRBC MEDIA award winners are Southwest Horse Trader in 2003, America's Horse and ANCR Reiner in 2002, Waltenberry Productions in 2001 and Quarter Horse News in 2000. The National Reining Breeders Classic is the most successful stallion incentive program in reining history. In just five years, the NRBC has grown to include over 260 subscribed stallions and over 10,000 enrolled foals, and the payout at the 2003 National Reining Breeders Classic was over $820,000.
