Posted January 27, 2006 Jim Kiser Sponsors NRCHA Youth Classes
Carol Rose, Sponsor Committee Chairman for the National Reined Cow Horse Association, announced in mid-January that Jim Kiser of Kiser Arena Equipment, the company that prepares and manicures the ground for NRHCA Major Events, has come on board as a sponsor of NRCHA Youth competition in 2006. Kiser has long been a strong supporter of equine youth activity and in 2005, he contributed $1000 in added money for the Youth Bridle class at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. Rose said, “In discussions during December, Jim decided to increase his commitment to $2,000 for 2006.” She added, “I’ve known Jim Kiser for 20 years. In fact, when I first met him he was a great competitor in National Reining Horse Association Youth Reining Classes. As a former youth competitor, Jim understands the value of youth competition. He loves the reined cow horse event and his wish is to encourage more youth participation. To help in that direction he has generously given this outstanding sponsorship.” Kiser said, “I believe the youth are the future of the horse industry and that participation in equine youth programs can bring lifelong benefits. Plus, competing in shows is a great family activity.” Kiser’s sponsorship commitment was matched by the National Reined Cow Horse Foundation, to bring the total of additional added money for 2006 Youth Classes to $4,000. The added money will increase the added money at the NRCHA Stakes, Hackamore Classic, Derby and Snaffle Bit Futurity by $1,000 per event. The National Reined Cow Horse Association, the governing body of cow horse competition, is responsible for promoting the sport, insuring high standards of competition and educating members and the public about the history and tradition of the cow horse. Through the support of a Corporate Partner family that includes Bayer Corporation, Bob's Custom Saddles, Cinch, Inc., Classic Equine, MD Barns, Platinum Performance, Inc., Nutrena, Skyline Gold and Silversmiths, National Ropers Supply, Quarter Horse News & Western Horseman magazine, the Reno Hilton, Farnam products Vetrolin Liniment and Farnam dewormers IverCare, Bloomer Trailer Mfg, ComboCare, LiquiCare P and Continuex, Fort Dodge West Nile Innovator, Rios of Mercedes, Merial products ULCERGARD and GASTROGARD, Great American Insurance Company and the Silver Legacy Hotel, the association works to keep the vaquero tradition alive in today’s equine industry.
