Posted April 20, 2006 Entries for Television's "Extreme Cowboy Race" Now Available!
By saying “prove it!” Craig is actually inviting people to enter this dynamic event to be held at the Western States Horse Expo, June 9-11 in Sacramento, California. “The Extreme Cowboy Race is the most popular program on RFD-TV,” says Ryan Dohrn, HorseCityTV’s producer for the event. “It’s fun for people to watch television and cheer for their favorite contestant. Some of the obstacles present considerable challenge for the riders which makes it even more exciting. It’s not like any other sport you’ve ever seen!” “It’s about time we created a competition that’s outside of an arena,” comments Craig. “These obstacles are what real ranch hands would have to accomplish with a steady, well-broke ranch horse. And then we’ve added in the fact that it’s timed, which makes it a whole lot more fun for the contestants and the audience.” Miki Cohen, founder of Western States Horse Expo, thought it would be entertaining to invite a live audience to the show. So for the first time ever, the Extreme Cowboy Race has left its roots in Texas to travel to California and present the filming before a crowd. Visitors to the Horse Expo are invited to sit in the stands and watch the filming of this program, and there’s no separate admission fee to watch this show. (You might even see yourself on television!) “We really hope to draw a group of accomplished cowboys and cowgirls to Sacramento to compete,” says Craig. “So all you have to do is go to www.extremecowboyrace.tv and fill out an entry form. Think you have what it takes to win this competition? Prove it!” For more information on the Extreme Cowboy Race, visit www.extremecowboyrace.tv.
