of the 2000 World Cup Finals for Showjumping Markus Fuchs of Switzerland riding Tinka's Boy Win Second Round Brazil's Rodrigo Pessoa, 28, who is trying to make World Cup Final history by winning his third consecutive title with the same horse, Gandini Baloubet du Rouet, was a close second in a time of 33.36 seconds. Thursday night Pessoa won the first round of competition, which keeps him comfortably in first place due to the combined scoring system in the World Cup. Ludger Beerbaum of Germany finished in third place riding Goldfever in a time of 33.42. Beerbaum won the World Cup Final in 1993 and is hoping to be added to the list of riders who have won two World Cup titles. The top two-thirds of the riders in the standings following Friday's second round, advance to the Final on Sunday afternoon at the Thomas & Mack Center. A limited number of tickets is still available. Saturday, April 22, 2000, show jumping action continues at the Thomas & Mack center with the $50,000 Grand Prix of Las Vegas.
