Marshall & Sterling League National Indoor Finals 2004 Megan Wilkinson Captures Charles Owen Adult Medal at Marshall & Sterling League National Indoor Finals The highlight of Wednesday's competition was the Charles Owen Adult Medal Finals. Megan Wilkinson of Glastonbury, Connecticut emerged the victor from a class of 67 entries. Wilkinson received the grand prize of a silver trophy, sports jacket, Charles Owen helmet and a Charles Owen cooler. Wilkinson trains with Armand Chenelle of Windcrest Farm, Hebron, Connecticut. Her mount for the competition, London Fog, is owned by Holly Rebello. Kelsey Amedeo of Springfield, Massachusetts finished in second place aboard her mount Daimler. In other competition, Kelly Adams of Stonington, Connecticut took home the blue ribbon in the $2,500 Adult Amateur Jumper on her mount Premiere. "The course was a lot of fun," said Adams. "And it's great to come to the Finals. There is a team of people who make this happen. My trainer, Devon Bessette, is amazing. There's a lot that goes into getting this far." Scott Coleman of Shrewsbury, New Jersey came a close second on his mount Franco co-owned by Contemporary Motor Cars, and Maureen Sullivan of Marlborough, New Hampshire finished in third place with her horse Over The Limit. Friday's competition will include the $10,000 Children's Jumper Classic, followed by a performance by rodeo stunt rider Max Reynolds. Reynolds will amaze audiences as he blazes into the arena straddling his two white horses. Trained to perform incredible stunts, his team will gallop around and over burning stakes and then through a hoop of fire. Adding to the fun, will be Dover Saddlery Barn Night. Local horse enthusiasts will be invited to participate in a host of fun activities, free prizes, and the chance to meet some of show jumping's celebrity athletes.
