Spogli Rides Toy Story to Grand Champion Honors at West Coast Pony Finals
In the Small section, eleven year old Amanda Moore of Bothell, WA guided her Serendipity to the championship. "This is really exciting. It's really fun and the competition is so good. I love coming here. We've been doing this for three years," said Moore. This was a bittersweet finish as she is selling Serendipity and moving up to the Children's Hunter division. Lucy Davis rode her Enrico to victory in the Large Pony section. "This was my first time to do the West Coast Pony Finals," said the twelve year old rider from Brentwood, CA. "He really rose to the occasion," she said of her pony. "Riding indoors is really fun." Davis was also the Reserve Grand Champion.
Pony riders from throughout California and as far away as the state of Washington make the annual trek to the West Coast Pony Finals and the final "A" show of season. "This was my first time showing in this," said twelve year old Grace Lukach who trains with Beverly Jovais. "I've had my pony for only a month and this is a nice way to end the year." Lukach earned reserve champion honors in the Large section of the West Coast Pony Finals. |
