U.S.
Jumps to Overall Lead after Second Leg of Samsung Super League
with FEI
By

Lexington,
KY − The U.S. Show Jumping squad of Anne Kursinski (Roxanna
112), Charlie Jayne (Urbanus), Nicole Simpson (SRF Dragonfly)
and Will Simpson (Carlsson vom Dach) put on an impressive display
in Rome, Italy to finish second in the Nations Cup and take
over the top spot of the Samsung Super League.
Coming
off of a three-way tie for second in the first leg of the Super
League two weeks ago, the U.S. riders put together another
impressive performance against some very tough competition
to finish just behind Great Britain.
Great
Britain and the U.S. were tied with eight faults after the
first two rounds and one rider from each team jumped off to
determine the winner.
After
jumping two clear rounds, Chef d’ Equipe George Morris
selected Will Simpson and Carlsson vom Dach to return to the
ring for the U.S. The California combination had one fence
down to pick up four faults, giving the U.S. riders another
second place finish but more importantly sole control of the
overall leader board.
The
Samsung Super League with FEI continues May 30 in St. Gallen,
Switzerland.
